My real estate business is through a firm I founded called  Springtree Realty. Through Springtree I have endeavored to research and report on the Durham luxury home market and post regularly on two blogs. the first is DurhamLuxRE.com. This site focuses on Durham because the luxury market has been stagnant in Durham for several years…long before the overall real estate market weakened, in spite of having historic luxury neighborhoods and newer country club focused upscale homes. The primary reason for this is that Durham’s image has not kept up with the vitality showcased by Downtown revitalization and the growth in southwest Durham around SouthPointe. The site is built around a manifesto for reviving the market through better marketing of the homes and the community by the real estate community.

The second site I post on is www. SpringtreeTerritory.com. This site shares much content with DurhamLuxRE. Both sites are about promoting Durham as the crown jewel of the Triangle and the best place to live, work, get educated, retire or play in the region.

The 4 P’s of Marketing Homes

I created another blog http://4PsRE.com to speak to real estate professionals all over the country about the importance of developing our skills in marketing homes. The conceptual framework for this is based on the 4 P’s of Marketing, Product, Price, Place and Promotion.  These are the elements of the Marketing Mix that agents must now learn to work in a buyers’ market.
